The 10th Romsey Mohican and Sioux Pack Cubs have once again shown just how powerful teamwork and community spirit can be by organising a Food Bank Appeal in aid of Romsey Food Bank.
This marks the second time our Cub packs have come together to raise awareness and collect much-needed donations for their local food bank. Following the success of our previous appeal in 2023, which collected an impressive 633kg (24 crates) of donations, the Cubs were determined to make an even bigger impact this time.

As part of their Community Impact Badge and working towards their Chief Scout’s Silver Award, the Cubs got involved right from the very beginning. Working in their Sixes, they researched the items most needed by Romsey Food Bank and used this information to design eye-catching posters to encourage local residents to donate food. The Cubs put a tremendous amount of thought and creativity into their designs, which were then combined into a final poster.
Armed with their posters, the Cubs, supported by leaders and parents, delivered them across the Abbotswood estate and King’s Chase estate in Romsey.
Thanks to the incredible support from the local community, the total amount donated exceeded 691.5KG (30 crates of food) surpassing our previous appeal. The generosity of local residents is genuinely appreciated.
We sincerely thank all residents who supported our Food Bank Appeal; your kindness helps Romsey Food Bank provide essential supplies and inspires ongoing community involvement, making a real difference.

In 2024 alone, Romsey Food Bank provided 627 seven-day emergency food supply packages, delivering over 6,000 meals to people in crisis. Knowing that our community supports this vital work can inspire continued involvement and pride.
We are incredibly proud of our Cubs for their hard work, compassion and commitment to helping others in their community.
