Do you believe in equipping young people with skills for life? Are you passionate about making a difference in your community – and having a bit of fun along the way? If so, we’d love for you to join us as a Section Assistant with our Scout section.
As a Section Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in planning, delivering, and running a safe, engaging, and high-quality programme for our young people. You’ll be helping them work towards their badges, develop new skills, and grow in confidence – all while having a great time yourself.
What will you do?
You’ll support the section by:
- Creating a welcoming, safe environment for all young people
- Running games and activities during weekly meetings and special events
- Helping young people work towards badges, awards, and their Top Awards
- Assisting with exciting residential experiences
- Bringing your own interests, skills, or hobbies to enrich the programme
Whether it’s helping them light their first campfire, try something completely new, or lead their first team activity – you’ll be there to support them every step of the way.
Who will you be working with?
You’ll be part of a supportive team of volunteers, including the Section Leader, Assistant Section Leader, and our fantastic team of Young Leaders. No experience is necessary – just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to get stuck in.
